| Setting up a manual connection in Windows XP |

1. Click Start |

| 2. Click Control Panel |
 |
Please note - There are two ways to set up a
connection in Windows XP. The first is using the Category View and the
second is using the "Classic" View. The screen shot in Step 3
shows Category View. If you have selected to use "Classic" View
go to Step 14.

3. Click Network and Internet Connections |
 |
|
4. Click Set up or Change your Internet
connections |
 |
|
5. Click Setup |
 |
|
6. The New Connection Wizard will
appear, click Next |
 |
|
7. Select Connect to the Internet, and
click Next |
 |
|
8. Select Set up my connection manually |
 |
|
9. Select Connect using a dial-up modem |
 |
|
10. The Connection name will be IDL Internet |
 |
|
11. Choose a number from the table below and
enter it in the Phone Number window |
 |
It is YOUR responsibility to contact Telstra on 1800 113 011 to make sure the modem number you choose to use is in fact a local call

12. Enter your username and password. If
this is the only connection to the Internet you have or you would like IDL
to be your mail connection leave all the boxes with ticks in them. |

13. If you wish to have a shortcut for this
connection on your desktop you need to check the box. Click Finish and
you are all done. |

If you have the "Classic" view option on your
screen, it will look like the one below

15. Select Create a new connection |
 |

16. The New Connection Wizard will
appear, click Next |

17. Select Connect to the Internet, and
click Next |

|
18. Select Set up my connection manually |
|
|
19. Select Connect using a dial-up modem |

20. The Connection name will be IDL
Internet |

|
21. Choose a number from the table below
and enter it in the Phone Number window |
