 Setting up Mail using Outlook Express 5

1. Open Outlook Express  

 

2. Select Tools --> Accounts  

 

3. Select the Mail Tab,  If you have an existing e-mail account in there remove it by selecting the old account and clicking on remove.

 

4. Select Add --> Mail  

 

5. Display name is your name i.e. John Smith

 

6. E-mail Address is your IDL mail Address i.e. smithy@idl.com.au

 

7. Incoming mail server is pop3.idl.com.au and the Outgoing mail server is smtp.idl.com.au

 

8. Username is your IDL username (N.B. not your e-mail address just the first part i.e. smithy), and password is your password. Be sure to leave Log on using Secure Password Authentication Unticked

9. Click Finish and you are all done
